Hi, I’m Ashley.

I’m a multimedia journalist, filmmaker, and creative storyteller working across documentary, branded, and commercial projects. I’m passionate about storytelling that explores the intersections of culture and identity.

I was born and raised in Philly and am currently based in Brooklyn.

I’ve worked on projects across platforms, from documentary series like Down In The Valley on STARZ and CNN’s United Shades of America, to commercial and branded work for a range of brands, including Cécred and Walmart. I’ve created content for organizations including The Root, Spotify, BET, The International African American Museum, and more.

My work has earned multiple awards and nominations, and in 2021, I was honored to be named a Forbes 30 Under 30 in Media.

I also teach at John Jay College, where I guide students through digital video production, documentary filmmaking, and media literacy.

Storytelling

Whether I’m in the classroom or on set, I’m driven by curiosity, empathy, and a commitment to telling stories that amplify culture and community.
